Noisy phone lines can cause difficulty connecting. Try disconnecting cordless phones and other electronics from your phone line. Try plugging your Internet terminal into a different phone outlet. Test the line by connecting a phone and making a call.
If your phone line is okay, try changing the way your Internet terminal dials.
Choose Dialing Options to:
- Check your ISP's phone number
- Turn off wait for dial tone if you have voice mail
- Dial a 9 for outside calls
- Fix a mis-set dialing option
